　　An experience of helping someone is once I helped a girl go through the toughest time of her life.In fact,she is my pen pal I knew her from an activity of my high school.One day,my teacher gave us a list of name and asked each of us to choose one.She told us that the people on this list lost their family members in the earthquake that happened last year.What we were in charge of was to write letters to them in order to gie them some console and encouragement.

　　That's how I knew the girl.After that,we wrote letters to each other frequently and I knew she was studying in her high school and preparing for the University Entrance Exam.Frankly speaking,at the beginning I had no idea about how to help her go through the difficult time.She lost both her parents and I couldn't understand how painful that was at all.After writing a couple of letters to her,she told me how she felt after losing her parents.

　　What she said was so impressive.She told me that what happened to her wasirreversible and she had to accept it no matter whether she wanted it or not.When people had no other choice,they would finally find a way to accept something cruel and painful.That's how people grow up.The fact is that she suffered from what children in her age shouldn't have suffered from.That's why and how she became so mature and strong mentally and emotionally.As a matter of fact,she helped me much more than I helped her.
