1:My phone was stolen when I was shopping in a crowded mall.
思路 2:I lost an earphone when I got off the train and didn’t find it back.
思路 3:I thought I lost my dog, but she went back home on her own.
✓ When it was: last year
✓ Where it was: on the train
✓ What you lost: an expensive earphone
✓ Explain what you did after you found that you lost it: I went back but didn’t find it.
This topic is really annoying because I have to recall the bad memory of losing my earphone.
It was in October last year. I travelled from Beijing to Shenyang on a train. I was wearing the earphones all the way listening to music and sleeping. The music was so loud that I
almost forgot to get off the train when it arrived at Shenyang railway station. I got up immediately and rushed out of the train. At that time, I didn’t pay attention to my earphones. I simply turned off the music on my phone.
After walking for a minute, I took off my earphone and at that time, I realized that I lost one. It was really a bummer.
The train had left. If I lost it on the train, there was no way I could get it back. However, if I lost it after I got off the train, maybe it’s lying somewhere on the floor. Therefore,
I went back to my route hoping to find it. Sadly, it was nowhere to be seen. I guess I must had lost it on the train near my seat.
I was not happy at all since it was a very good earphone and I only used it for a week. I don’t usually lose things. That’s even worse. I felt awful. Anyways, I was fine. I bought
new earphones and I always keep an eye on where I am when I take trains now. I don’t like rushing because I don’t want to lose things any more.
